SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University Department of Athletics and Carrier Dome staff are encouraging fans to purchase tickets in advance and arrive early to the Dome when No. 2 Syracuse hosts top-ranked Virginia at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 4. Purchasing ahead of time will help avoid long waits at the box office due to the large crowd that is expected.
Adult single-game tickets are $10 and tickets for children 12 and under are $5. Tickets include admission for the OCC-Genesee Community College (GCC) game that begins at 2 p.m. Gates will open at 1 p.m. for that game and will remain open through the conclusion of the Syracuse-Virginia game that night. Season ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early and watch the OCC-GCC game at no additional charge.
Visit SUathletics.com to buy tickets online and take advantage of the “print at home” feature. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) during normal business hours. Beginning at 1 p.m. on game day, tickets can also be purchased outside Gates A, B, C and E. Cash or major credit cards will be accepted.
Fans that do not have a season or individual game parking pass are strongly encouraged to park in the Manley Field House North and South lots ($10 per car) and take a free shuttle to and from College Place to avoid delays in attending the game. Manley lots will open at 3 p.m. (Take Route 81 to the Brighton Ave. exit or Route 481 to the Brighton Ave./Rock Cut Rd. exit and follow the signs.)
When the Orange hosted Virginia in 2009, a crowd of 16,595, the third-largest in Dome history for a lacrosse game, witnessed a 13-12 Cavaliers' victory. Syracuse and Virginia have met every season since 1994 and have combined to win 15 NCAA national championships.
