SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Orange standouts and current Chesapeake Bayhawks midfielders Matt Abbott and Steven Brooks were named 2013 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) All-Stars earlier this week. It's the third all-star nod for both players.
Â
Abbott and Brooks will join 36 other pro lacrosse standouts for the 2013 MLL All-Star Game, which will be held Saturday, July 13 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The all-stars will be split into two teams for the game by MLL Ultimate Fan Fantasy winners Cameron MacKenzie and Frank Ranfone using a playground-style draft.
Â
Brooks has seven goals, including a two-pointer, and six assists this year for the 4-4 Bayhawks. Abbott has contributed six goals and five assists. He also leads the team with 27 ground balls.
