Gulley and Smith Feature on ACCDN
SU's Prince-Tyson Gulley and Jerome Smith tied for 15 on the ACC Digital Network's Top 25 Players to Watch list, a new preseason football feature. The running back duo kicks off the second week of the ACCDN's features on players from around the league.
Starting last Monday, two spots on the list were revealed each day, which will continue until the number one player to watch is announced on Wednesday, August 21.
Fans are invited to follow along with the #ACCTop25 daily and provide feedback through Twitter (@theaccdn). The complete list with videos can be found on theACC.com.
Last year, in his sophomore season, Smith rushed for 1,171 yards, the fifth most of any Syracuse player. His 90.1 rushing yards per game ranked third in the BIG EAST and 43rd nationally. Smith had four consecutive 100-yard games last season, the second most in school history.
Gulley made his mark in the SU record book last season, taking the eighth spot on the single game rushing yards list after his 213 yard performance in the Pinstripe Bowl Victory over West Virginia. His 33 receptions last year was good enough for fourth on the SU record list for catches by a running back. Gulley ranked second on the team in scoring last season with 68 points (11 touchdowns).
