GREENSBORO, N.C. - Syracuse women's basketball's inaugural Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) schedule was announced by the league on Wednesday. The 16-game slate includes eight home games with perennial powers Duke, Maryland and Florida State visiting the Carrier Dome.

Coming off a 24-8 season in which it finished third in its final BIG EAST season, advanced to the NCAA Tournament and finished the ranked 22^nd in the country, head coach Quentin Hillsman's Orange make its ACC debut in 2013-14 conference games that all fall on Thursdays and Sundays.

Six of Syracuse's games are scheduled to be televised by RSN, the ACC's regional sports network: Jan. 16 at Maryland, Jan. 26 vs. Virginia, Jan. 30 at North Carolina, Feb. 2 vs. Maryland, Feb. 9 at Notre Dame and Feb. 16 at Boston College. In New York, RSN includes the YES Network and the Madison Square Garden Network (MSG). All ACC games produced as part of the RSN package will also be available vs. WatchESPN.

As was announced by the ACC in May, Syracuse will play home and away games against both Maryland and Pittsburgh. The other home opponents are Duke, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Florida State.

Season ticket deposits are on sale now for the 2013-14 season, and are $25 each. To place your deposit, please visit SUAthletics.com, call 888-DOME-TIX, or visit the Carrier Dome Box Office.

The Orange plays its first ACC game on Jan. 5 at NC State, before returning home to host its first game in its new conference on Thursday, Jan. 9 against Duke at 7 p.m.

Senior Day at the Carrier Dome will be Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. against Pittsburgh, followed by the regular season finale a week later at Wake Forest on March 2.

The ACC Tournament will be played March 5-9 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

Five of this coming season's ACC teams, and a total of six Orange opponents, were ranked in the final AP Top 25 Poll of 2012-13: No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 5 Duke, No. 12 Maryland, No. 13 North Carolina and No. 25 Florida State. Syracuse finished the season ranked 22nd.

Besides Syracuse, six of the other 2013-14 ACC teams are coming off NCAA Tournament appearances. With Maryland being one of them, the Orange will play seven conference games against tournament teams, including four vs. Sweet Sixteen teams (Duke, Maryland twice, and Notre Dame) and one Final Four squad (Notre Dame).

With non-conference games against NCAA Tournament teams Iowa (Big Ten/ACC Challenge) and Texas A&M (U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam) already announced, SU is already slated to face eight tourney teams in 2013-14.

SU's complete non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
