Be a part of history on Saturday for Scott Shafer's 'Debut in the Dome' as head coach of the Orange! Shafer and the SU football team can't wait to play their first home game of the season and see all of the Orange in the stands when they take on Wagner at 4 p.m. (ESPN3.com).
"I can't tell you how excited I am to get into the Dome," Shafer said. "It's something I have pictured since the day they gave me the opportunity to lead the program. I can't wait to coach in front of our student body. I can't wait to have the community come out and see the football team. I know our kids are thirsty and hungry to get back in the Dome as well. I can't tell you how excited I am to get back there, run out of that locker room and just play our butts off."
The Wagner game presents a special opportunity for fans to get complimentary youth tickets for each adult ticket purchased. 'Bring a Kid to the Game' day allows season ticket holders and single game goers to take a child (or two!) to the game on Saturday free of charge. To get your youth tickets, call 1-888-DOMETIX.
Â
The Centro bus company has announced that they will provide free Park-N-Ride Express service from the Great Northern Mall and Wegmans DeWitt Plaza to all Syracuse home games this season to help fans avoid traffic on campus. Adult tickets cost $4.00 and tickets for seniors (65+), disabled and children ages 6-9 cost $2.00 for round trip service.
Â
The Express bus departs the Great Northern Mall 1 hour and 15 minutes before kickoff. Fans can hop on the bus between Dick's and The Olive Garden and will be dropped off at the S.I. Newhouse School on Waverly Ave. Return trips will depart promptly after the game, once all passengers have been boarded.
Â
Fans can also pick up the Express bus at Wegmans in DeWitt in front of the Hobby Lobby, which departs 45 minutes before kickoff, to be dropped off in front of the S.I. Newhouse School on Waverly Ave.
Â
Continuous free shuttles from Manley Field House and Skytop Lot operate beginning two hours before kickoff. Handicapped accessible shuttles are also available free of charge and operate from the Skytop offices parking lots to Gate A starting 90 minutes before kickoff. Standard parking fees for those lots apply.
Season and single-game tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B), or by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
