Williams Out for Season; Hale Closes Career

Syracuse University safety Rodney Williams will miss the remainder of the 2014 season and wide receiver Keenan Hale will not return to playing for the Orange.

Williams, a native of Cherry Hill, N.J., who is in his first year at Syracuse, sustained a lower body injury which will require surgery, which will be performed by Dr. Todd Battaglia. Williams played in two games this season, recording two tackles and a fumble recovery.

Hale, a native of Conyers, Ga. who is in his fourth year at Syracuse, has had three surgeries and, along with his family, has decided that it is best to move forward without football. A 2012 BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection, Hale did not play in any games for the Orange.
Syracuse hosts North Carolina State this Saturday, November 1. Tickets are available online (www.Cuse.com), by phone (888-DOMETIX), at Destiny USA kiosks and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). In addition, discounted group tickets (20+), with prices as low as $10 each, are available for all home games by calling the Ticket Sales office (443-3212).
