Brosnan Earns All-ACC Honor

GREENSBORO, N.Y. – Freshman goaltender Courtney Brosnan has been named to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her performance in her debut season with the Orange. She is the first Orange women's soccer player to earn All-ACC honors.

The Short Hills, N.J. native started in all 11 games she played in this season. Brosnan finished the season with a total of 68 saves and three shutouts. Her final goals against average was 1.51 and her save percentage .800.

Brosnan made her collegiate debut against Louisville where she tallied four saves. She posted a career-high 11 saves in two consecutive matches against No. 2 Florida State and No 24 Clemson. The Orange faced a total of six ranked opponents this season; Brosnan was in net for five of those matches.

Syracuse finished third in the ACC ins saves in the regular season. Brosnan's 68 saves put her fifth in the ACC and her .800 save percentage tied her for fourth. She was the only freshman among the league's top five in save percentage. Brosnan is currently second in the ACC in saves per game (6.18).
