Three Earn ACSMA All-ACC Honors

Hickey, Lynch and Dixon honored by the group
Three Syracuse players were honored for by the ACC for their performance this season. Linebacker Cameron Lynch, offensive tackle Sean Hickey and punter Riley Dixon each were named to the 2014 All-ACC ACSMA Football Team, which was voted on by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
Lynch, who led the Orange with 97 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks, was named to the third team defense. A team captain, Lynch played every game in his career and was previously named to the CoSida Academic All District Team.
Hickey earned a selection to the third team offense. He was the only Orange offensive lineman to start all-12 games this year, finishing his career with 38-straight starts. Also a team captain this year, Hickey was an All-ACC Honorable Mention selection in 2013.
Dixon, who ranks fourth in career punting average (42.5) at Syracuse and sixth in total punting yards (6,462) earned honorable mention honors. Dixon recorded the third-most punt yards in program history this year with 3,182, surpassing his total from last season by 21 yards.
