Orange to Face Seven NCAA Tournament Teams in 2014

Syracuse will face two of the four teams that advanced to last year's College Cup.
2014 Schedule
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's soccer team will face seven teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament during the 2014 season, including national runner-up Florida State and national semifinalist Virginia Tech. The Orange's home slate consists of one non-conference matchup and five Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) games.
Syracuse starts off the season with a return to the Penn State Invitational where it will face Missouri on Friday, Aug. 22 and Penn St. on Sunday, Aug. 24. After a road game in Albany (Aug. 29), the Orange takes on Connecticut at home on Labor Day (Sept. 1).
Syracuse will play seven consecutive road games, beginning with matches against Vermont (Sept. 5) and UMass-Lowell (Sept. 7) at Colgate. The Orange travels back to Hamilton to face the Raiders on Sept. 11 and stays on the road to play Drexel (Sept. 14).
The road stretch continues with a matchup against the ACC's newest member, Louisville, on Sept. 19, followed by a game at Cincinnati (Sept. 21). The Orange concludes its road trip with a game at Miami (Sept. 25), a team it beat last season 3-0. Syracuse returns to the Soccer Stadium to host Pittsburgh on Sept. 28
Boston College, which advanced to the 2013 NCAA quarterfinals, comes to town on October 4. The Orange then travels to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on national runner-up and ACC champion Florida State (Oct. 9). After another road game at Clemson (Oct. 12), Syracuse returns home to play its first of four games against NCAA Tournament teams.
Syracuse faces Notre Dame (Oct. 18) before its matchup against national semifinalist Virginia Tech (Oct. 23). The Orange plays its final road game at Wake Forest (Oct. 26) and concludes its regular-season campaign at home against 2012 national champion North Carolina on Nov. 2.
