SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A spot in the national semifinals is on the line when No. 2 Syracuse takes on No. 6 Boston College in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, May 17. Opening draw in the Carrier Dome is set for 1 p.m.
Tickets for Saturday's game are $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 18 and under and for students from the participating institutions with a valid student ID. Parking is free in the Dome West lots. Live audio and video will be available on CuseTV on Cuse.com free of charge. Fans in the Syracuse area can listen to the broadcast on WJPZ 89.1FM.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (19-2)
1. Syracuse is making its seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in the last eight years. The Orange has an all-time record of 4-2 in the quarterfinal round.
2. Kayla Treanor recorded three points against Stony Brook to increase her season total to 105. That ties her for the highest total by a sophomore in school history. She enters Saturday's game with 71 goals, just four shy of Christina Dove's single-season record of 57 set in 2008.
3. Senior Alyssa Murray led Syracuse with six points against Stony Brook on four goals and two assists. She now has 33 points, 23 goals and 10 assists in eight career NCAA Tournament games. She ranks second in points and is tied for first in goals on Syracuse's NCAA Tournament leader lists.
What to Watch For – Boston College (15-5)
1. Boston College advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Bryant, 17-9, in the first round and Loyola, 8-3, in the second round. The Eagles are the seventh seed in the tournament.
2. All-ACC performers Covie Stanwick and Mikaela Rix lead the Boston College offense. Stanwick leads the team with 88 points on 50 goals and 38 assists, while Rix has 74 points on 57 goals and 17 assists. Defensively, Emily Mata has recorded 70 saves and has a 10.38 goals-against average and a .310 save percentage.
3. Acacia Walker is in her second season at the helm of the Boston College program. The 2005 Maryland graduate has led the Eagles to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Boston College, 11-0. The squads met in February on the Eagles' home field. Syracuse trailed 4-3 at halftime but opened the second half on a 5-1 scoring run to take an 8-5 lead. The teams traded goals over the final 12:54 as the Orange posted the 11-9 victory. Seniors Alyssa Murray and Katie Webster both recorded three goals to lead Syracuse's offense.
