
Orange Trio Earns All-America Honors

Alyssa Murray and Kayla Treanor named to All-America First Team for second straight year.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Three members of the Syracuse women's lacrosse team have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for their outstanding performance this season. Senior Alyssa Murray and sophomore Kayla Treanor have been named to the IWLCA All-America First Team, while senior Kasey Mock earned a spot on the All-America Second Team.
Murray becomes just the second player in school history to earn IWLCA first-team All-America honors three times in her career. She ranks fifth in the nation in points (97) and ninth in assists (56) this season. Murray is a finalist for the Tewaaraton for the second consecutive year and was named to the All-ACC First Team. She ranks second on Syracuse's all-time scoring list with 349 career points. Murray is the second player in school history to record 300 points, 200 goals and 100 assists in her career.
Treanor, who was also a member of the All-America first team last season, leads the nation in points (107) and is second in goals (73). Her 107 points this season rank third on Syracuse's single-season record list and are highest total for a sophomore in program history. Treanor is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year. She ranks seventh on the Orange's all-time scoring list (202 pts.), is sixth in career goals and ninth in career assists.
Mock earns All-America honors for the first time in her career. She anchors the Syracuse defense which is allowing 8.60 goals per game. Mock leads the team in caused turnovers with 29 and is second in ground balls with 38. Both totals are career highs. Mock and the Syracuse defense have held their opponents to less than 10 goals in 12 games this season.
The trio has helped Syracuse to a 20-2 record this season and a spot in the national semifinals for the third consecutive year. The second-ranked Orange will take on Virginia on Friday, May 23 in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
