The 2013-14 Syracuse men's basketball schedule poster featuring C.J. Fair earned gold in the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) Best of Awards. The winners were recognized at the 24th Annual NACMA Convention in Orlando, Fla., on June 10.
The Syracuse Athletics Marketing Team of Marc Donabella, Jennifer Falco, Kerri Jennings, and Brenna McConaughey, came up with the mosaic concept used in the poster. Fans were engaged with the opportunity to submit a fan photo to be used in a collage. The designer then employed the individual images to create C.J. Fair dunking and the Syracuse "Block S."
The NACMA Best of Awards program was initiated in 2003 to honor outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. There are 13 categories and three divisions within each category, based on school size and conference affiliation. More than 1,000 entries were logged in 2013-14.
Syracuse received the gold in Group I of the Promotional/Schedule Poster category. Michigan earned silver and Tennessee bronze.
