ACC Names 229 SU Student-Athletes To 2013-14 Honor Roll

Kayla Treanor of women’s lacrosse highlights the 229 Orange honored by the ACC
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On Thursday afternoon the ACC released its 58th annual Academic Honor Roll for the 2013-14 academic year. To qualify a student-athlete competing at the varsity level needed to attain a GPA of 3.0 or better for the entire academic year.
The conference recognized a record 3,967 student-athletes across the conference including 229 recipients from Syracuse University. Amongst the 229 acknowledged from SU, Kayla Treanor stood out as the rising junior was named the ACC's Spring Sport Player of the Year for women's lacrosse.
Duke led all schools with an ACC-record 494 student-athletes registered in the honor roll. Boston College and Notre Dame were not far behind with 404 and 397 student-athletes respectively.
Three of the 3,967 listed in the honor roll had been awarded the accolade for a sixth time. Those recipients were Kenny Anunike of Duke, Elizabeth Lacksen of Georgia Tech and Emily Pritt of NC State.
