
Leiher and Hubbard earn ACC Weekly Accolades

The pair were named ACC performers of the Week following their races at Penn State
Greensboro, N.C. - A pair of Syracuse student-athletes earned ACC weekly honors for their strong races at the Harry Groves Spike Shoe Invitational.

Sophomore Sydney Leiher earned ACC Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week and classmate Joel Hubbard was named ACC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week by the league on Tuesday.
Leiher won her first collegiate meet, leading the No. 13 Orange to a second place finish at the event behind host Penn State. Leiher finished the 6k course in 21:01.
Hubbard took second overall at the meet in State College, Pa. The No. 8 'Cuse men's team also took second place in the meet. He completed the
5.2-mile course in 26:24, earning the highest place finish of his collegiate career.
Hubbard, Leiher and the Orange will return to action on Friday, Sept. 26 at the Boston Inter-Regional.
