A pair of sub-four minute miles, including a Canadian Junior Record from Justyn Knight highlighted Syracuse's performance at the Penn State Nationals this weekend.
Knight broke a record that stood for 14 years with his time of 3:59.51, while All-American Martin Hehir raced to a time of 3:59.81. Their times were good for third and fourth respectively. It's the fist two sub-four minute miles in school history, with Hehir's time serving as the new school record, besting his own time of 4:00.04. Knight ran unattached at the meet.
A gold medal in the women's 4x400 relay from Brittany Belo, Bria Goodson, Sabrina Cammock and Rebecca Robinson highlighted the day for the women as the group finished in 3:47.09, more than a full second ahead of second-place Bucknell, while Joel Hubbard took first in the men's 1000 with a time of 2:24.79 for the other first place performance.
Syracuse also turned in a number of top-10 performances in the two-day meet.
