20 of 29 regular season contests will be televised
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball team will appear on ESPN3 five times in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome during the 2015-16 season. 20 of Syracuse's 29 regular season contests will appear on television in 2015-16.
Â
ESPN3 will broadcast two non-conference contests and three Atlantic Coast Conference games during the 2015-16 season. Matchups against Arizona State, Pittsburgh, and Louisville, all 2015 NCAA Tournament participants, highlight ESPN3's Carrier Dome slate.
Â
The Orange is poised for another great season under head coach Quentin Hillsman. Syracuse is coming off its third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, a program first. The squad also advanced to the second round of the national tournament for the second consecutive season, also a first in program history.
Â
SU returns 10 players from the 2014-15 squad that won 22 games and finished in a tie for fourth place in the ACC. Senior guard Brianna Butler is the nation's active leader in career 3-point field goals made. Junior guard Alexis Peterson earned All-ACC and ACC All-Defensive accolades last season.
