Postseason Honors Continue for Buescher, Robinson

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sophomore Julian Buescher has been named to College Soccer News' All-America First Team. In addition, Buescher and freshman Miles Robinson have been named to TopDrawerSoccer.com Best XI Teams announced on Monday, Dec. 21.
Buescher was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com Best XI Second Team, while Robinson was a Freshman Best XI First Team honoree.

Buescher was a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Award, which is presented to the collegiate player of the year. He was also voted to the All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Tournament Team. Buescher recorded career highs in every statistical category with 27 points on eight goals and 11 assists. He ranked eighth in the nation in assists. Buescher was also recognized for his achievements in the classroom as a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.

Robinson started all 25 games on defense and helped the Orange record nine shutouts. In addition, he tied for third on the team in goals with four for eight points. Robinson was voted to the ACC All-Freshman Team as well as the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Buescher and Robinson helped the Orange to its first ACC Championship and the program's first appearance in the College Cup in 2015. Syracuse finished the year with a record of 16-5-4 and was ranked fourth in the final NSCAA poll.
