Orange Hosts Second Straight Doubleheader Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. --Â For the second consecutive week the No. 3/3 Syracuse women's lacrosse team will host a doubleheader in the Carrier Dome. The Orange will face Canisius at noon and Presbyterian at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.

Sunday's contests are part of a tripleheader with the SU men's lacrosse team, which faces Cornell at 4 p.m. Individual game tickets for all Syracuse women's lacrosse home games can be purchased for $5. Fans can purchase a "Lax Pack" ticket package for $25, which includes 10 general admission tickets that can be used as a season ticket or as a group ticket package. Fans who enter the Carrier Dome after halftime of the women's game will be charged for a men's tickets ($10). Tickets are available online at Cuse.com and at the Carrier Dome Box Office located at Gate B.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (2-0)
1. The Orange swept last weekend's doubleheader in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse beat No. 19/20 Denver, 18-10, in the season opener before defeating Canisius, 21-13, in the nightcap.
2. Freshman Riley Donahue recorded seven points in Syracuse's win against Canisius. It's the highest point total for an Orange freshman since junior Kayla Treanor had seven points against Dartmouth in the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
3. Senior Kailah Kempney recorded 14 draw controls against Canisius to break her own single-game school record of 12, which she set last season.

What to Watch For – Canisius (0-1)
1. Canisius is facing Syracuse for the second consecutive game.
2. Tori Quinn led the team with four goals and four assists in the team's season opener against Syracuse. In addition, Lauren Smolensky and Erica Evans had two goals apiece.Â
3. Scott Teeter is in his 13th season as the head coach of Canisius. He has led the team to four straight MAAC titles. In 2005 he was named the league's coach of the year.

What to Watch For – Presbyterian (0-1)
1. Presbyterian lost to Oregon, 18-1, in its season opener on Friday.
2. Cassie Watters scored the Blue Hose's only goal against the Ducks on an assist from Katy Richardson.
3. Bob Dachille is in his first season at Presbyterian. He came to Presbyterian from Erskine College where he produced 10 all-conference and 12 academic all-conference academic players.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Canisius, 3-0. Sunday's game marks the first meeting between the Orange and Presbyterian.
