Treanor Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

Kayla Treanor is one four finalists from last season on the 2015 Watch List.
2015 Tewaaraton Award Watch List
NEW YORK -- Junior Kayla Treanor is one 50 members of the 2015 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The list includes student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions who are contenders for the award, which goes to the nation's top female and male lacrosse players.

Treanor was a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award last year when she led the nation in scoring with 117 points. In addition, she was second in the country in goals scored with a school-record 79. Treanor earned the IWLCA Attacker of the Year award and was a first-team IWLCA All-America selection. The All-ACC First Team honoree was also a member of the NCAA and ACC All-Tournament teams.

Through five games this season, Treanor leads the NCAA in scoring with 25 points. With five goals against Connecticut, she moved into sixth place on Syracuse's all-time scoring list with 237 points.

Additions to the watch list will be announced on March 19 and April 9. The field will be narrowed down to 25 nominees on April 23. Five women's and men's finalists will be announced on May 7 and will be invited to the May 28 ceremony in Washington D.C.
