Donahue Receives National Player of the Week Award

INDIANAPOLIS – Redshirt junior attackman Dylan Donahue picked up his second player of the week award for his performance Duke Sunday. Donahue was named the NCAA Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, March 25, two days after he was recognized as the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Donahue tallied a season-high seven points, including a game-best five goals, versus the Blue Devils. He had three goals and two assists in the first half as the Orange raced out to a 13-1 lead at the break.

In the second half, Donahue struck twice more, including scoring his NCAA-leading ninth extra-man goal of the year midway through the fourth quarter.

Fairfield goalie Tyler Behring earned NCAA Defensive Player of the Week honors after making a combined 22 saves and posting a .759 save percentage in wins against UMass-Lowell and Villanova.

Top-ranked Syracuse is back in action Saturday, March 28 at No. 2 Notre Dame. Faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Arlotta Stadium.
