Track Posts Strong Showing in Miami

Rebecca Robinson and Regine Hunter each turned in top-two performances in their respective events to lead the Orange contingent at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational on Saturday.
Robinson took second in the 400, and was the top-collegiate finisher with a time of 53.76. She also turned in a strong performance in the 200-meters later in the meet with a time of 24.28, which was good for eighth place.
Victoria Parker also competed in the 200 with a time of 24.58, taking 13th, and Brittany Belo took 13th in the 400 (57.31).
Hunter was the winner of the triple jump, leaping 12.66 meters, .7 meters longer than the next closest jumper.
Shaina Harrison once again had a strong showing, finishing fifth (first collegiately) in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.56.
Sa'De Lewis also turned in a top-10 performance with a time of 14.12 in the 110-meter hurdles.
On the men's side Freddie Crittenden led the way with a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (13.80) and was followed closely by Donald Pollitt's sixth-place finish (14.09). David Gilstrap took eighth with a time of 14.98.
In the high jump, Jabari Butler finished fourth (second amongst collegiate jumpers) with a height of 2.04 meters. Reggie Morton turned in a seventh-place finish in the long jump (7.01 meters).
Syracuse returns to action next weekend with a return trip to Princeton.
