Track Kicks Off Outdoor Slate

Orange takes on Auburn Tiger Invitational and Princeton Sam Howell Invitational
The Orange will compete in their first outdoor meets of the season this upcoming weekend at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational and the Auburn Tiger Classic. Â
LAST TIME OUT:
- At the ACC Indoor Championships, Shaina Harrison earned an ACC title with the school-record 7.31 seconds in the 60-meter dash and Martin Hehir picked up his second ACC Championship of the year with a win in the 5k.
- Hehir qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 3000-meters, while taking second in the event the following day, which earned him ACC Championships co-MVP.
- Two other athletes who earned medals for the Orange were Donald Pollitt and Regine Hunter. Pollitt earned silver in the 60-meter hurdles and Hunter took bronze in the triple jump.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS:
- Hehir also had a very successful run at the NCAA Championships. The senior placed 7th overall in the 3000-meters and earned First Team All-America honors.
LOOKING AHEAD:
At the Auburn Tiber Classic Syracuse will be competing against teams from Boston University, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Mississippi, and Dayton. The Orange will take on Brown, Cornell, Harvard, UMass, NYU, Yale and Maryland at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational.
Members of the Orange will be running separately, with the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational starting Friday, and the Auburn Tiger Classic kicking off Saturday.
