SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 7/7 Syracuse returns to Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play when it hosts Virginia Tech in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, April 4. Opening draw is set for 10 a.m.

Admission to Saturday's game is free of charge. Fans are invited to stay for the Orange football squad's spring game, which kicks off at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and will be available on ESPN3.

PREGAME READING
What to Watch For – Syracuse (8-4, 1-2)
1. Senior Kailah Kempney ranks sixth on the NCAA all-time leader list for draw controls. Kempney has 355 draw controls in her career and ranks fourth among active players.
2. Seven out of Syracuse's last nine games have been decided by one goal. The Orange has a record of 4-3 in those contests. Last season, Syracuse did not have any games decided by a goal.
3. Saturday's game is the first home contest for the Orange since March 17. Syracuse completed a stretch where it played five out of six games on the road. SU is 6-1 at home this season.

What to Watch For – Virginia Tech (6-7, 0-4)
1. Virginia Tech defeated William & Mary last Sunday to snap a three-game losing streak. The Hokies are now 6-7 overall and 0-4 in ACC play.
2. Megan Will and Meg Bartley have done the majority of scoring for Virginia Tech. Will leads the way with 49 points on a team-high 39 goals and 10 assists. Bartley is right behind with 33 points on 30 goals and three assists. Meagh Graham has started all 13 games in goal for the Hokies. She has an 11.53 goals-against average and a .389 save percentage.
3. Megan Burker is in her fifth season at the helm of the Hokies' program. The Stanford graduate has guided Virginia Tech to a record of 41-40.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech, 5-0. The teams met last season for the first time since 2004. The Orange jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back as it recorded an 18-4 victory in the Carrier Dome.
