Senior attackman plans to attend law school in the fall
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Orange attackman Kevin Rice was named to the Capital One Academic All-District I Men's At-Large Team on Thursday, May 14. It's the third consecutive academic all-district nod for Rice and the fifth time in the last six seasons an SU men's lacrosse player has received the honor.

By virtue of his placement on the all-district team, Rice's name will be forwarded to the national Academic All-America ballot to be voted upon by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Â
Rice has started all 15 games for the Orange in 2015 and leads the team in points (77) and assists (44). The senior ranks seventh on Syracuse's career assists ledger (122) and he is tied for 12th on the program's all-time scoring list with 215 points (93 goals, 122 assists).
Â
Off the field, Rice recently earned his bachelor's degree in history and plans to attend law school at Wake Forest University this fall. Rice was named to the SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll (min. 3.0 GPA) every semester and he earned a place on the 2014 All-ACC Academic Team.
