Sprinters Carry Orange on Day Two of Championships

Three Syracuse runners advance
After the Syracuse track team showcased its distance skill on day one of the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, day two was all about the sprinters.
Syracuse safely moved a trio of sprinters into Saturday's finals.
Donald Pollitt and Freddie Crittenden each advanced in the 110-meter hurdles, with Pollitt qualifying in third (13.74), .009 seconds out of second, while Crittenden's time of 13.87 seconds was good for fourth.

David Gilstrap (14.54) finished 10th in the prelims, just missing out on advancing to the finals.
Shaina Harrison also advanced to Saturday, qualifying in sixth overall with a time of 11.57 seconds.

A few members of the Orange also competed in finals on Friday as well, with Sydney Leiher taking 10th in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:39.43, while teammate Haley Cutright took 20th.
Jabari Butler also took 10th in the high jump, clearing 2.02 meters.
The final day of the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships gets underway on the track at 6 p.m. Saturday.
