Orange rising senior to begin action on July 13.
Alyssa Manley has been chosen to represent the United States in the Pan-Am Games. Head coach Craig Parnham selected Manley to the American squad for the event which takes place July 13-25 in Toronto, Ontario.
Rising senior Alyssa Manley started all-24 games this past season and recorded 15 points from three goals and nine assists, helping lead the Orange to the 2014 National Championship game.
These are the world's third largest international multisport games in which more than 7,000 athletes across the Americas and Caribbean come together every four years to display their talent. This event serves as an opportunity to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Placed in pool B, Manley and the U.S. team will be among Chile, Uruguay and Cuba.
Mexico, Canada, Argentina and the Dominican Republic will make up Pool A.
Manley and Team USA will look to defend their gold medal at the Pan-Am Games, beginning with the first preliminary match against Uruguay at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 13.
