
Baumer, Gallagher Join Communications Staff

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Meghan Baumer and Tim Gallagher have joined the Syracuse University staff as athletic communications assistants. They will work within the athletic communications department, which disseminates information for all varsity sports to appropriate organizations, manages the department website, Cuse.com, and acts as a liaison between the media and the SU coaching staffs and student-athletes.
Baumer will work with the Orange volleyball and softball teams, in addition to serving as a secondary, men's basketball and women's basketball contact. Gallagher will work with the Orange ice hockey, women's soccer and tennis programs, in addition to serving as a secondary contact for football, and men's and women's lacrosse.
Baumer graduated from Syracuse in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in sport management. She served as an athletics communication intern for one year at Syracuse as an undergraduate. Baumer gained additional experience with the Syracuse Sport Management Club and with Women In Sports and Events (WISE). She is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
Gallagher earned his undergraduate degree in communications from Temple in 2013 and his master's in sport business management from Manhattanville in 2015. While pursuing his undergraduate degree he worked in the athletics communications offices at Cabrini and Temple. Gallagher was assistant director of sports information at Manhattanville College and volunteered in the athletics communication office at Iona while working on his graduate degree. He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
