Orange To Host 2015 Division II Champs In Exhibition

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse has scheduled an exhibition game with Florida Southern, the 2015 NCAA Division II champions, on Sunday, Nov. 8 in the Carrier Dome.
Florida Southern, which also won the 1981 title and owns 29 NCAA Tournament appearances, posted a 36-1 record last year. After losing a Jan. 3 matchup with 11th-ranked Barry, 107-102, the Moccasins won 25 straight, including a 77-62 NCAA final win against Indiana (Pa.).
Mike Donnelly is in his first season as head coach at Florida Southern. He was in charge of the Southern Connecticut State program for the past five seasons.
Syracuse approaches the 2015-16 campaign with a streak of 44 consecutive winning seasons – the longest active streak in the Division I ranks. The Orange posted an 18-13 overall mark last year.
Coach Jim Boeheim enters his 40th season as Syracuse head coach.
Deposits for 2015-16 Men's Basketball season tickets are on sale now for only $125 each, and provide priority seating before the general public on-sale, which begins August 25. Individual game tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 14.
