
Syracuse Names McFarland Associate Athletics Director for Finance

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Rhonda McFarland is joining the Syracuse University Athletics Department to fill the position of associate athletics director for finance/chief financial officer.

"Rhonda brings a great deal of expertise and energy to our department," said Syracuse Director of Athletics Mark Coyle. "She focuses on ensuring we have resources in place to benefit our student-athletes through efficient budget management. We welcome Rhonda, her husband, Tom, and their sons, Shawn and Tyler, to the Syracuse family."

McFarland has worked at Boise State University for the past nine years, most recently in the athletics department as a senior business manager and then associate athletics director for finance. In that role she was responsible for budget management and reporting.

Before joining the Boise State Athletics Department, she served as the administrative accounting manager in the department responsible for Boise State's financial reporting. She has held positions in accounting, auditing, and business operations capacities for both corporate and non-profit organizations, as well as operating her own accounting services business.

McFarland earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Arizona State University.Â
