Texas Southern Completes Non-Conference Slate

SYRACUSE, NY – Texas Southern, a 2015 NCAA Tournament, has been announced as the final non-conference home game for Syracuse. The Orange and the Tigers are scheduled to meet on Sunday, Dec. 27, in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse and Texas Southern played in the 1997 Carrier Classic with the Orange earning an 85-73 victory. It was the only other meeting between the two programs.

Former Indiana and UAB head coach Mike Davis is in his fourth season at the Texas Southern helm. The Tigers have made back-to-back visits to the NCAA Tournament. Texas Southern was 22-13 overall and 16-2 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The Tigers won the SWAC Tournament Championship before losing in the NCAA Tournament to Arizona, 93-72.

Syracuse approaches the 2015-16 campaign with a streak of 44 consecutive winning seasons – the longest active streak in the Division I ranks. The Orange posted an 18-13 overall mark last year.

Coach Jim Boeheim enters his 40^th season as Syracuse head coach.

Men's Basketball season tickets went on sale Tuesday, August 25. Individual game tickets sales begin October 14.
