'Cuse Hosts Celebration of Women Day on Feb. 7

$5 tickets available to anyone wearing pink
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's basketball program will host its annual Celebration of Women Day on Sunday, Feb. 7 when the Orange host Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Georgia Tech. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome.
Celebration of Women Day will consist of several different themes. Pink Day/Breast Cancer Awareness Day, the annual Family Reunion Weekend, National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Girl Scout Day, and Women in Business Day will all occur on Feb. 7. In addition, the program will recognize head coach Quentin Hillsman for his 10th season at the helm of the program.
Anyone wearing pink, girl scouts, or clients of local women's businesses can receive a $5 ticket to the game. In addition, pink wristbands and cutouts of Hillsman's head on a stick will be given away.
At halftime, all Syracuse University women's athletic programs will be introduced on Jim Boeheim Court in the Carrier Dome. In addition, women's basketball alumae in attendance will be honored at the half.
Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B) during normal business hours.
