Anticipation Building for Orange vs. UNC on Saturday

    The much-anticipated Syracuse men's basketball game against North Carolina on Saturday, January 9 will tip off at 8 pm. The ACC encounter will feature the return of Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim from the NCAA suspension. The Orange Hall of Fame Coach will match wits with North Carolina mentor and Hall of Famer Roy Williams in a pairing of two of the winningest coaches in Division I history.

    All fans are encouraged to arrive early to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, January 9th for the game against 6th-ranked North Carolina. More than 26,000 fans are expected for the game, which is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts, the official coffee of Syracuse Athletics. The Carrier Dome will open at 6 p.m. All fans with tickets are encouraged to arrive early for the game to avoid traffic delays and large lines at the Dome entrances and to use the 'Print at Home' option to avoid long lines at the Box Office.

    At halftime, new Orange head football coach Dino Babers will address the crowd. Fans are also invited to enjoy a multitude of activities in the backcourt, including the Galaxy Communications Photo Booth, Dunkin' Donuts giveaways and the Cadillac vehicle display. Prior to the game, the 'Hoops for the Stars' program, presented by National Grid Foundation, will honor more than 150 area youth for their improvement in academic performance and attendance.

    All Syracuse University parking lots will open at 5 p.m. All Stadium west and campus lots are sold out. Fans who do not have a parking permit are invited to use the Skytop parking lot ($15 per car), with the shuttle service starting at 5:30 pm. To access the Skytop parking lot, use Rt. 481 and exit at Brighton Ave.
