SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 22/24 Syracuse looks to return to its winning ways when it faces North Florida on Saturday, Dec. 3. Opening tip is set for 4:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
Tickets can be purchased on Cuse.com, by calling 1-888-DOMETIX or at Gate B at the Carrier Dome. Fans can also watch the game on ACC Network Extra and listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
FOR STARTERS
- Syracuse returns to the Dome after two losses on the road. Its overall record is 4-2, including a 4-0 mark in the Carrier Dome.
- The Orange were dealt their second consecutive loss of the season to Wisconsin on Nov. 29 in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.
- Syracuse remains No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings.
- Graduate student Andrew White III had 14 points against Wisconsin. He is the only member of the Orange to reach double figures in scoring all six games this season.
- Syracuse lost to Wisconsin, 77-60, for the second year in a row as part of the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.
- Andrew White III led the scoring with 14 points and five rebounds, while fellow graduate student DaJuan Coleman had 12 points and three rebounds.
- Wisconsin led, 43-39 at halftime. In the first five minutes of the second half, the Badgers outscored the Orange 15-2, giving them a lead they would not relinquish.
- North Florida enters Saturday's match up on a three-game losing streak and a 3-6 record. It is coming off a 91-60 setback to No. 24 Florida on Thursday night.
- Senior guard Dallas Moore leads the Ospreys in scoring, averaging 20.4 points per game this season. Last season Moore received NABC All-District Honors and was named a finalist for the Lou Henson award. He scored 31 points against the Gators.
- Matthew Driscoll is in his seventh year as the head coach of North Florida. The last two seasons under Driscoll, the Ospreys won the Atlantic Sun regular-season title and made the NIT in 2016, and the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Driscoll and his staff earned ASUN Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the 2015-16 season after recording the programs most regular-season wins.
