Minnesota Vikings Sign Sean Hickey

EDEN PRAIRE, Minn. – Former Syracuse offensive tackle Sean Hickey has signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent. The Vikings announced Hickey's addition, along with addition of linebacker Jason Whittingham, yesterday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Minnesota is Hickey's fourth NFL stop. He previously spent time with the New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots and New York Jets.

A 2014 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Third Team selection by the league's head coaches, Hickey was a two-year starter at left tackle and three-time Orange letterwinner. He started 38 straight games from 2012-14 and helped Syracuse finish fourth in the ACC in rushing in 2013 at 194.8 yards per game.

The Vikings open training camp tomorrow at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Their first preseason game is scheduled for Aug. 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
