In the men's race, which kicked off the afternoon, the Syracuse men raced as a pack, with five men breaking off near the end.
Molino crossed the line in 20:08.8 and behind him were a trio of true freshman racing unattached – Dominic Hockenbury (20:09.1), Joe Dragon (20:09.3) and Aidan Tooker (20:09.6) – and junior Shawn Wilson (20:09.8) in the lead pack.
Nick Ryan (20:19.3), TJ Hornberger (20:20.6) and Simon Smith (20:26.9) followed right behind rounding out the top-eight overall in the 6k race.
The women were scheduled to race a 4.8k, but a wrong turn on the course led the entire field to race an extra loop and finish a full 5k. Davison (17:49.7) finished just a second ahead of Emma Wilson (17:50.7) and Paige Stoner (17:50.9). McKenzie Altmayer (18:01.2) placed fourth to make an all-true freshman top-four for SU, while Alex Cooper (18:02.7) finished fifth.
Stephanie Bitcon finished seventh overall in 18:17.5, with Mary Malone (9th/18:23.1) and Chelsie Pennello (10th/18:27.9) also turned in top-10 performances in the race.
Next, Syracuse will race in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational on the campus of Penn State next week in the first meet of the season that counts for NCAA qualifying.
