'Cuse in the ACC Tournament
- This is the fifth ACC Championship that Syracuse is participating in, since joining the league in 2013. The Orange hold a 4-4 record in ACC Tournament play in that time.
- Last season's quarterfinal loss to Wake Forest in the tournament opener was the first time that 'Cuse didn't win at least one game in the event.
- Syracuse enters the weekend as the No. 6 seed, the second time that the Orange have been seeded sixth in the tournament, with Syracuse making a run to the ACC Championship game in 2014 last time that happened.
- Roos Weers is the Orange's active leading scorer in ACC Tournament play, having scored three times in tournament play (twice in 2016 and one against UNC in the 2015 ACC title game). Lis Lagerweij also has a goal and an assist, scoring off a penalty stroke in 2016 and recording an assist in 2015. Elaine Carey is the third active member of the Orange with points in ACC Tournament play, with one assist in 2016.
- The last three and four of the last five ACC Tournament games the Orange have played in have gone to overtime.
'Cuse vs. Tournament Hosts
- Four of Syracuse's five ACC Tournament openers have come against the host team of that tournament, with this year no different.
- Syracuse is 3-1 in those games, with last year's loss to Wake Forest the blemish on an otherwise stout road record.
Orange lead the ACC
- Since joining the nation's best conference in 2013, head coach Ange Bradley's squad boasts the best record vs. conference opponents.
- Syracuse's 18 wins stands tied with 2017 league champion Virginia, and one ahead of North Carolina for the best conference record.
Record Watch
- Syracuse has shut out 11 opponents thus far in 2017, which matches the program record from 1993.
- Should Syracuse shut out one more opponent, they'd tie 1983 Missouri State for 23rd-most single season shutouts in NCAA history. A 13th shutout on the year would move them into a tie for 14th all-time.
- Only three teams since 1995 have more shutouts in a season than Syracuse: 2006 Wake Forest (13), 2015 UConn (14) and 2007 North Carolina (16). All three of those teams made it to the final four in that season. North Carolina won the national title, Wake Forest was the national runner-up, and UConn lost in the NCAA semifinal to the 2015 Orange team that claimed the NCAA Championship.
Orange vs. Louisville
- Syracuse enters Thursday's matchup with a 10-4 record against the Cardinals in a series that dates back to 1993.
- The two teams have met nearly annually since 2005, with the exception of the 2013 season when Syracuse was in the ACC and Louisville was in its final season in the BIG EAST.
- 'Cuse has an 8-2 record in the 10 meetings under head coach Ange Bradley, with Bradley's teams having won eight-straight between her first year and the 2017 loss.
- This is the first postseason meeting between the two sides, including both the ACC and BIG EAST Tournaments.
All-ACC Honorees
- Senior back Lies Lagerweij was Syracuse's lone All-ACC First Team selection, while Roos Weers and Laura Hurff represented the Orange on the All-ACC Second Team.
- Lagerweij is a two-time All-ACC honoree, while Weers and Hurff have been honored three times.
