SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's volleyball team begins a four-match road trip on Friday, Nov. 3 against NC State at 7 p.m. The Orange then travels to North Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 5 for a 1 p.m. matchup. Syracuse (17-8, 9-3 ACC) is off to its best ever start in ACC play and sits one game back of first place in the conference.

Last Time Out
'Cuse picked up its third consecutive victory on Sunday against Virginia in straight sets. Anastasiya Gorelina posted a match-high 13 kills with six digs. Jalissa Trotter delivered a match-leading 24 assists, Amber Witherspoon led all competitors with six blocks and Belle Sand posted a team-high eight digs.

Showdown with the Wolfpack
North Carolina State (15-8, 10-2 ACC) is 8-2 all-time against the Orange. Syracuse's last win in the series came in 2015, a four set victory. The Wolfpack sit atop the ACC with a 10-2 record along with Pittsburgh and Louisville.

Julia Brown leads the Wolfpack with 315 kills and 219 digs. Kylie Pickrell has a team-high 913 assists and Kaitlyn Kearney leads NC State with 113 total blocks.

Scouting the Tar Heels
North Carolina (10-10, 7-5 ACC) enters the weekend on a three-game losing streak. The Tar Heels face Boston College on Friday before hosting Syracuse on Sunday. The Orange won the first ever meeting between the two sides in 1990, but North Carolina has taken the next seven. The Tar Heels were victorious in three sets during the lone 2016 match.

Taylor Leath leads the North Carolina attack with 254 kills on the year. Holly Carlton has a team-high 463 assists and Casey Jacobs has a team-leading 192 digs. Katharine Esterley and Beth Nordhorn have combined for 158 totals blocks on the year.
