'Cuse, No. 2 Boston College Meet in Afternoon Contest

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse ice hockey team (1-6-1, 0-0-0 CHA) hosts the No. 2 Boston College Eagles (6-0-1, 3-0-1 HE) on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. The Orange have three games remaining in their nine-game home stand, this being their third matchup against a ranked opponent this season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Orange dropped both games of the series against Northeastern, 5-1. Freshman Victoria Klimek recorded a goal in each game, the only scores for the Orange on the weekend. Stephanie Grossi and Savannah Rennie returned to the lineup for Syracuse after missing the last couple series. Grossi sparked the offense and contributed six shots and two assists, while Rennie returned with two shots and two blocks in the series.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Boston College have met six times before in program history with the Eagles holding the 4-1-1 advantage. The Orange's only win over Boston College came in 2013 at home, a 4-1 victory. The last time that the two teams squared-off was January 4 of this year. Boston College won the contest, 4-3, thanks to a hat trick by senior Kristyn Capizzano.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles are ranked second in the USCHO.com poll with a record of 6-0-1 and are riding a three- game win streak. Boston College is outscoring opponents 29-15 this year and has scored at least four goals in six of their seven games. Freshman Daryl Watts is the Eagles main threat with 10 goals through eight games, including a hat trick against Minnesota Duluth and a four point game against Vermont.

'CUSE VS. HOCKEY EAST
The Orange have faced six of the nine active Hockey East teams and, in 43 total games, have posted a 16-20-7 mark. 'Cuse has always battled in close games against Hockey East teams with goals scored 122-111 in favor of the HE teams. The most recent outing against a Hockey East team came last time out in a series against Northeastern University. The Huskies came out on top 5-1 in both games.

CHA WEEKLY HONORS
For her performance against Providence, Rowswell earned CHA Player of the Week (Oct. 16). This is her first conference award and she is the first of the Orange to be recognized by the CHA this season. She is currently tied for fifth in the conference for goals (three) and 14th in the conference for points (four).

UP NEXT
The Orange will host a two-game series against Penn State on Nov. 10 (7pm) and Nov. 11 (3pm) in their first conference series of the season. Admission to all home games at Tennity Ice Pavilion is free.
