Orange Defeat Buffalo; Host Brown Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's tennis team won its first home game of the season on Saturday with a 6-1 win against Buffalo at Drumlins Country Club.
The Orange claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3. Gabriela Knutson and Miranda Ramirez defeated Tanja Stojanovska and Margarita Kotok, 6-3. Buffalo then won at the No. 2 spot, leaving the point to be determined by the third seed. Anna Shkudun and Maria Tritou grinded out a 7-5 win to give Syracuse its first point.
Syracuse won five of the six singles point, with the match being clinched by Libi Mesh.
The Orange will be back in action on Sunday when they host Brown at Drumlins. The match will begin at 11 a.m.
