Syracuse hosts Notre Dame on Sunday, Feb. 19 in the Carrier Dome
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University athletic department has announced a partnership with 13 different local companies for the No. 20/19 Orange women's basketball team's game against No. 7 Notre Dame on Sunday, February 19 in the Carrier Dome.
CNY Chevy Dealers, Crouse Health, Galaxy Communications, Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, Key Bank, Metro Mattress, Mirabito, National Grid, Northwestern Mutual, Pathfinder Bank, Planet Fitness, TK99, Coyote Promotions and Visions Federal Credit Union all have made a commitment to support the Syracuse women's basketball program, through group ticket purchases, to help make history in the Carrier Dome. With the backing of these companies and Syracuse community, the team is looking to set a Carrier Dome single-game attendance record.
"I think you can see from the people that are standing behind me and where we are, this is very monumental for our program," head coach Quentin Hillsman said at the announcement press conference. "It's remarkable to have the backing that we have right now. To have these 13 companies really step up is huge for us."
The marquee matchup between the Orange, the 2016 national runners-up, and Fighting Irish, the 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference champions, is set to tip off at 5 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The game will be shown nationally on ESPN2.
The first 5,000 fans will receive a free pink t-shirt and all are invited to participate in the 'Cuse Carnival in the backcourt, featuring inflatables and games.
Courtside seats and general admission tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B) during normal business hours.
Syracuse has won its past 17 contests in the friendly confines of the Loud House, setting a program record. The Orange have already knocked off four nationally ranked opponents during the 2016-17 regular season, setting another school record.
