Orange Women Honored for Classroom Success
2/9/2017 8:08:00 PM | Cross Country
The Syracuse women's cross country team was honored for their success in the classroom on Thursday, earning the USTFCCCA Scholar Team Award.
In order to earn the honor, the program maintained a 3.41 cumulative GPA, well above the 3.0 minimum to be presented with the award.
This is the 21st time a Syracuse men's or women's team has earned the award since 1997, and under head coach Chris Fox, the Orange have received the honor 17 times (between both programs) in his 12 years at the helm.
The Syracuse men were the 2015 Scholar Team of the Year after winning the NCAA Championship and performing well in the classroom.
