Freddie Crittenden III posted the third-fastest time in the world in the 110-meter hurdles on Saturday to highlight an impressive weekend for the Orange at a pair of meets.
Crittenden ran to a mark of 13.42 seconds, which including wind-aided marks, trails just Cuba's Yordan O'Farrill (13.33 seconds) and fellow American Aries Merritt (13.41 seconds). Youngstown State's Chad Zallow ran a 13.37 earlier this season as well, however it came with 3.7 m/s of wind, above the 2.0 m/s time to be considered non-wind aided.
Crittenden's mark edged 2012 NCAA Indoor Champion Jarret Eaton's previous school record of 13.44 seconds, which he set in the 2012 outdoor season.
A Utica, Michigan native, Crittenden ran away with the meet at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational, defeating second place finisher - Tru Fit's Devon Hill – by .24 seconds. Teammate Chevis Armstead II took 12th in 14.53 seconds.
