Orange Will Host Bonnies Dec. 22

Syracuse and St. Bonaventure will meet for the second time in three seasons when the two squads square off on December 22 in the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse has a 24-3 advantage in the series with St. Bonaventure and the Orange have captured the most recent 14 matchups. The two teams last met on November 17, 2015, and Syracuse prevailed, 79-66. Buffalo's most recent triumph in the pairing was a 74-71 decision on January 26, 1981.
The Bonnies were 20-12 overall and 11-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference last season. It marked a second consecutive 20-win campaign for St. Bonaventure for the first time since 1977-78. Coach Mark Schmidt has completed 10 years at the helm and owns a 166-144 record at the Bonnies' helm.
St. Bonaventure returns four of five starters from last winter's unit, including the high-scoring guard tandem of seniors Jaylen Adams (20.6 ppg.) and Matt Mobley (18.5 ppg.).
Syracuse was 19-15 and reached the second round of the NIT last season.
Coach Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, enters his 42nd season as SU head coach.
Syracuse season tickets start at $250. They can be purchased on-line, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX)Â and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). There are limited courtside seats still available as well as Executive Club Suite access packages. Group ticket deposits can be purchased.
