Orange Kick Off Busy Weekend with Wins in NY

Numerous wins and other solid performances highlighted Syracuse's meet at the 2018 Dr. Sandler Invitational.

Kashif Miller won his event for the second week in a row, crossing the line in 22.04 seconds.
Eunice Boateng won her first meet with the Orange, winning the 60-meter dash in 7.53 seconds.
Imani Clark (24.38) and Dasia Pressley (24.60) went one-two in the 200-meter dash, with Victoria Parker (25.12), placing fifth.

Angelo Goss (7.71 seconds) finished second overall in the 60-meter hurdles, just 0.05 seconds behind Youngstown State's Chad Zallow in the 60-meter hurdles. David Gilstrap (7.92) and Matt Moore (7.93) finished right behind in third and fourth. Moore posted a time of 7.85 seconds in the prelim to lead the way for 'Cuse. Richard Floyd also made the finals finishing in 8.05 seconds, which was good for sixth.
Kadejhia Sellers finished second in the 400-meters, which was tops amongst collegiate competitors. She finished in 54.57 seconds.
Chris Tucker placed fourth in the 60-meter dash – third amongst collegiate athletes – in 6.96 seconds. Chuka Soronnadi (7.11) was close behind in eighth.
Danielle Delgado placed third in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.43 seconds.
The distance group will compete on Saturday in Boston.

The day continued with Rachel Bonner (4:49.52) taking sixth in the mile. Her time was good for fourth among collegiate athletes. Sydney Leiher was not far behind in 4:55.57, which was good for 12th. Olivia Elston (5:10.53) and Kelsey Potts (5:10.87), also ran for the Orange in the event.
In the 3000, Madeleine Davison placed eighth (9:36.62).
The men will race on Saturday.
