Orange Move Up in the Rankings

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse jumped two spots in both the Cascade Women's Lacrosse Media Poll and the Nike/US Lacrosse rankings this week. The Orange are now ranked No. 5 by the media poll and No. 3 by US Lacrosse.

Syracuse opened the 2018 season with a 23-11 victory against Connecticut. The Orange opened the second half with seven unanswered goals to start the second half to pull away from the Huskies. Junior Nicole Levy led a balanced offensive attack with five points (3g, 2). Overall, 12 different players scored at least one goal for the Orange. Sophomore goalkeeper Asa Goldstock anchored the Syracuse defense with 11 saves.

The Orange go on the road for the first time this season to face Oregon in Portland on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. Eastern time. It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
