SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse will hold its annual Pro Day for NFL coaches, scouts and player personnel directors on Monday, March 19. A total of 12 players, including 11 from last year's squad, are expected to participate.
Â
Following weigh-in and measurements, participants will be tested in the bench press and vertical jump in the Orange weight room. On-field drills, plus the 40-yard dash and broad jump, will take place in the Ensley Athletic Center.
Â
Those expected to work out include 2017 All-American Steve Ishmael and All-ACC performers Parris Bennett, Zaire Franklin, Cole Murphy and Ervin Philips. Former 'Cuse defensive end Donnie Simmons is also scheduled to work out. Simmons played for the Orange from 2012-15 and is searching for professional opportunities.
Â
After Pro Day, potential draftees will spend the next few weeks working out privately for NFL teams leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft. This year's draft is scheduled for April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
