SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange look to continue their winning ways with a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference matches this weekend. Syracuse travels to Blacksburg to take on No. 30 Virginia Tech on March 2 before heading south to square-off with No. 1 North Carolina on March 4. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Syracuse is coming off a weekend sweep of Brown and Harvard, defeating both opponents 6-1. The Orange are riding a five-game win streak and have taken the doubles point in each of the last four matches.

No. 18 Gabriela Knutson remains the only Orange to boast a perfect record (7-0) on the season, while four Syracuse athletes – Sofya Golubovskay, Miranda Ramirez, Nicole Mitchell and Maria Tritout – have each only recorded one loss on the year. Knutson and Ramirez also hold a perfect 6-0 record at No. 1 doubles, earning a No. 19 ranking in the Oracle/ITA Doubles Rankings.

The Orange have a true test on the road this weekend as they face an undefeated Virginia Tech team on Friday. The Hokies are coming off a 7-0 sweep on No. 23 Clemson, holding a 1-0 record in ACC play this season.

On Sunday, Syracuse faces the top team in the country in the Tar Heels. North Carolina started the season 12-0 before taking their first loss of the season, a 4-3 defeat, at the hands of No. 4 Vanderbilt. Two Tar Heels, Alle Sanford and Markenna Jones, rank in the top 15 in the nation coming in at No. 8 and No. 15, respectively.
