Associate Athletics Director Morey Mossovitz transitioned to Executive Director of Operations, Events and Donor Relations in the 'Cuse Athletic Fund in July, 2026.
In his new position, Mossovitz wil lead 'CAF's internal operations and oversee strategy at large, managing events, stewardship, engagement and more. He also serves as the sport supervisor for the Syracuse women’s tennis and Men's Rowing programs.
Mossovitz previously served in numerous roles within Syracuse Athletics prior to his appointment, most recently spending eight years as the Associate Athletics Director for Facility and Event Operations since 2018. He also held the role of assistant athletics director of facilities and event operations from 2011-18. Mossovitz began his career in administration at Syracuse in the specialized role of facilities coordinator with academic support responsibilities.
Mossovitz previously supervised the daily operations, facility upkeep and renovation projects for the John A. Lally Athletics Complex. In addition to the Lally Athletic Complex, he was the supervisor for the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center, Football Performance Center, Ensley Athletic Center, SU Soccer Stadium, J.S. Coyne Staduim, Wohl Field, Hookway Fields, the Skytop Softball Stadium, Women’s Building Gym A and select Dome events.
Mossovitz played a key role in managing the construction and renovations to the John A. Lally Athletics Complex. Launched in November 2021 with the announcement of a $150 million fundraising campaign—part of the University’s Forever Orange Campaign—the Lally Athletics Complex focuses solely on elevating the student-athlete experience and ensuring that Syracuse Athletics is distinctive and competitive among its ACC peers. The new entranceway to the complex opened in February, 2023, and construction of the new football performance center and “One Team” Olympic Sports Center completed in March of 2025.
Mossovitz also provided administrative support to University Vice President and Chief Facilities Officer Pete Sala and serves as the department’s liaison with University Parking Services, the Department of Public Safety, EMS, Visit Syracuse, the Office of Government and Community Relations, JMA Wireless Dome, Campus planning Design and Construction as well as Recreation Services. He also oversaw the facility and event office, whose staff serves as game manager for all Olympic sporting events, and tournament managers for select Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA events. He was the tournament manager for the 2015 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional. He is the administrator in charge of overseeing Syracuse's camps and clinics, the equipment room, as well as fleet operations for the athletic department. In his role, Mossovitz worked with every varsity athletics program on campus
Mossovitz earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in educational studies from Syracuse University in 2008. Two years later, he received his master’s degree in student affairs counseling from the University. In May 2019, Mossovitz completed Drexel University’s educational leadership and management doctoral program.
During his undergraduate and postgraduate career, Mossovitz served as team manager, graduate assistant and assistant director of camps for the Orange men’s lacrosse program.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Mossovitz is an alumnus of St. Paul’s School for Boys. He currently lives in Manlius with his wife, Elizabeth, their daughter, Lucy, their son, Graham and their dog, Penny.
