Otto would love to join you for your event!

Otto the Orange makes more than 800 appearances a year! These appearances range from Syracuse football games to wedding receptions, creating joy and laughter (and bringing some Orange spirit!) for all. If you want a memorable addition to your special event, don't forget to invite Otto!

How to Schedule an Appearance:
Please submit the form below and your request will be reviewed within a week.

Appearances should be requested at least two weeks prior to the event. We confirm appearances on a first-come, first-served basis depending on Otto's availability.

Appearances that are 30+ miles from Syracuse University require our student athletes to drive their own vehicles to and from the event, so we do ask that anyone who requests Otto commits to pay gas and tolls to the students directly, which will be discussed as we process your request.

If you are requesting an appearance that is outside of the Central NY area, we welcome you to request Otto sooner, rather than later.

Types of events and suggested payment rates:
The suggested payments support the ongoing operational costs of the SU Spirit Squads, including Otto, and SU Athletics.

Charity/fundraising events - Free at our discretion
Events that are raising money for charities and local causes for no charge - these are some of Otto's favorite events!
University department events - $100
Events sponsored by any university department, student club or organization.
Personal appearances and local events - $175
Weddings, birthday and anniversary parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc. Corporate gatherings, local school appearances, or any prominent events happening in the area where Otto might be a good fit. Otto is super excited to create memorable experiences for your friends and family!
Corporate sponsorship appearances and commercials - $350
For the right to Otto in promotional appearances. Appearances requiring contracts.

*These rates apply to events up to one hour. If you would like to request Otto for longer, if we're available, it may be at an additional cost.
