
Fiume Moves Into Second Place On Kills List as SU Falls to Georgetown, 3-1

Fiume moved into second place on the schools all-time kills list. She has 1,455 kills in her four-year career, surpassing 1992 graduate Andrea Carson for second-place. The co-captain needs 151 kills to break Jen Murphys (96) school mark of 1,605. Fiume added five digs and five blocks to the cause.
Syracuse (11-6) won game one 15-7, but lost the remaining three, 15-6, 15-11 and 15-10. Georgetown improved to 10-5 on the season.
Munger had two service aces, seven digs and four blocks on the evening. Senior outside hitter Julianna Stokes (Naperville, OH) posted a game-high three aces and led the Orange with 10 digs. Syracuse outblocked the Hoyas 15.5 to nine, led by junior middle blocker Jing Jing Wang (Beijing, China) with seven. Junior setter Noreen Carroll (LaGrange, IL) posted 36 assists and five blocks.
Kiran Gills 19 kills led the Hoyas. Yulia Vtyurina had 14 kills, 14 digs and five blocks in the win.
The Orangewomen battle Villanova at 1 p.m. Sunday at Manley Field House.
